http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), officially established on 2 January 1992, is the Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare. There are two major divisions of this Warfare Center -- Division Newport located in Newport, Rhode Island, and Division Keyport located in Keyport, Washington.
In addition to its two main sites at Newport and Keyport, NUWC has several detachments and field activities geographically spread across North America and the Pacific Basin: from Andros Island, Bahamas, to Lualualei, Hawaii, and from San Diego, California, to Nanoose, British Columbia.
The Warfare Center seeks to provide its customers with the highest quality technologies, products, and services at the best value to ensure the Nation's continuing superiority in undersea warfare. Along with our excellence in technical programs, NUWC has continued the tradition that began with its predecessor organizations -- demonstrating exceptionally superior performance in the areas of technical management, planning, business management, and human resources. Simply put, we are Undersea Warfare, today and tomorrow.
